September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities. The event commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.
The timing of Hispanic Heritage Month coincides with the Independence Day celebrations of several Latin American nations.
Our program, Project LISTOS!, builds communities throughout academic adult programs such as Spanish literacy to facilitate and achieve higher proficiency in English acquisition. PL! bilingual curriculum works with you to achieve:
- Cultural and inclusion among diverse backgrounds and America.
- Parent self-esteem, confidence, and knowledge as trainers/facilitators to other parents to raise as a self-sufficient and educated community.
- A strong commitment between teachers and parents as “tutors at home” to nurture their children’s academic success.
- Life skills, well-being, and personal growth through services and workshops provided by community partners.
