Workforce Wednesday

April 7 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

We are excited to launch the Workforce Wednesday initiative as part of the Workforce Supportive Services program to help individuals recover after the impact of COVID-19.

Workforce Wednesday aims to give job seekers a leg up in the hiring process by providing insights that would not usually have from an employer. Employers and educators will be sharing details about their company, the hiring process, and job requirements. EOB will help you be prepared before you even apply. We will work with you to ensure your resume is strong, training is completed, and work cards are obtained.

CQES, Center for Quality Eldercare Services, offers training for personal care attendants (PCA), direct care workers/caregivers, and medical technician training. Students can get trained in as little as 3-6 days. Overall employment of home health and personal care aides is projected to grow 34 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

RGR Training Center, offers CPR certification, flagger certification, forklift training, OSHA certification, and much more construction-related training. Construction jobs grew, adding 3,900 jobs in Las Vegas since 2019. The Las Vegas industrial market has added over 10.7 million square feet to its inventory since the start of last year with 6.6 million square feet delivered in 2019 and 4.1 million square feet delivered in 2020 year-to-date. This is a growing industry in Southern Nevada.
